John Yi

John Yi is the Senior Director for the Bluetooth Product Line at Synaptics. Formerly, he was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Packetcraft, Inc., where he led a world-class software company delivering Bluetooth and UWB solutions. These solutions enabled the evolution of wireless audio, supported advanced IoT applications, and introduced digital key/secure access. He has been commercializing communications software at various system levels for more than 25 years, spanning companies from early-stage startups to Fortune 500 firms across many markets. He saw the successful exit of three startups through acquisition or merger. Prior to founding Packetcraft, John served as Director of Software at Arm, where he managed a team of engineers delivering Bluetooth software to global licensees and into the Mbed OS project. John is particularly excited about his company’s contributions to the latest innovations introduced by Bluetooth LE Audio, especially as new use cases are supported through clever standards-based broadcast functionality that will enhance accessibility and transform how we communicate and consume audio.
